Meniscus is a major component of knee soft tissue. It acts as a shock absorber. we should always try to repair meniscus. Now a day, we always repair meniscus unless it is severely damaged due to old age, arthritis or shattered meniscus.
Post repair you have to walk non weight bearing on operated limb for at least 2 weeks to provide good environment to meniscus for proper healing.
