Most elbow pain improve with simple home treatments, such as: (PRICE)
PROTECT- Keep the elbow away from getting further injury.
REST- Avoid the activity that caused your injury.
ICE- Place an ice pack on the sore area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day.
COMPRESSION- Use a compression bandage to reduce swelling.
ELEVATION- Keep your arm elevated to help reduce swelling.
*Stop any exercise if you feel pain. It may be too soon for you to try.
*Incorrect exercise can also cause or worsen the problems. Warm up, even before deep stretching.
If the injury doesn’t improve or if the pain is severe, then local steroid injection can be used. This helps to lower inflammation and give you pain free time to do physiotherapy
